When you join the forum you can choose any username (nickname) you want, however, it has been decided to protect the following names by making them "silent" moderators of the community forum.

Ronald McDonald - fictional character.
Hamburglar - fictional character.
Ray Kroc - deceased.
Big Mac - fictional character and trademarked name of the best selling sandwich in the world.

Whilst it is your prerogative to join any forum on the internet using the above names (in fact there are a lot of Ronald McDonalds and Big Macs out there already on open forums), we have decided that we don't want a member here posting as Ronald McDonald, Hamburglar, Ray Kroc or Big Mac.

Therefore they will be silent moderators and move around the forum without comment, editing posts and organising things where necessary. This is to stop someone "pretending" to be one of these characters and posting unsavoury topics.

Please do not attempt to communicate with these moderators (via email or personal message) as they will not reply. If you need to PM someone, I am available

Should protecting these well known McDonald's names from potential abuse raise a legal issue we will remove them from the position of moderator and allow them to be registered by the public.
